Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Lumen Loop: moving, loops, spirits, merging, the Sanctuary, currencies, ads and purchases.

How do I move?
Touch anywhere on the screen and drag: a joystick appears under your finger. Let go and Lumi stops. Your spirits attack on their own.
How do loops work?
Lumi leaves a trail of light behind her. When the trail crosses itself, the closed shape becomes a seal: every shadow inside takes heavy damage, and everything inside is collected at once. More shadows inside means more damage, and loops closed quickly one after another build a combo.
What are spirits?
Spirits are your weapons. They follow Lumi in a line and attack from where they are, so your path shapes your attacks. Each time you close a loop, every spirit in the parade attacks immediately.
How does merging work?
When you have three of the same spirit at the same star level, they merge into one spirit with one more star, up to three stars. The merged spirit is much stronger and frees up slots in your parade.
What are spirit families?
Every spirit belongs to one of five families: Ember, Frost, Storm, Moon and Grove. Having two or four spirits of the same family in your parade unlocks that family’s bonus.
How long is a run?
A night lasts ten minutes. Defeat the Murk Mother at the end to reach dawn. After a victory you can extend the night and keep playing, with a boss every five minutes.
What are Depths and Omens?
Every victory opens the next Depth, where shadows are tougher and rewards are bigger. From Depth 3, Omens add random rules to each run, and more Omens join as you go deeper.
What is the Sanctuary?
The Light Tree in the Sanctuary makes Embers while you are away, up to its storage limit. Come back to collect them. Upgrading the tree makes more Embers and lets it store them for longer.
What are Embers and Moonstones?
Embers are earned in every run and from the Sanctuary, and spent in the Lantern Workshop. Moonstones are rarer: you get them from bosses, first victories, the daily chest and optional ads. Neither has any value outside the game.
Can I continue after I fall?
Once per run you can revive with full health by watching an optional ad, or by spending Moonstones.
When do ads appear?
Most ads are your choice: a button with a video icon says what you get, like a revive, double Embers or a free reward in the shop. Sometimes a short ad appears when you return to the menu after a run, but never in your first session, never in your first runs and never more than a few times a day. There are no banners.
Can I remove ads?
When in-app purchases arrive, No Ads will remove the ads that appear between runs for good. Rewarded ads stay available, because they are only ever shown when you choose to watch one.
How can I limit personalized ads?
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings in the app. On iPhone, you can also deny tracking in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android, you can delete your advertising ID in Settings › Privacy › Ads. You will still see ads, but they will be less personalized. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Lumen Loop plays fully offline. Ads and purchases need a connection.
Will I lose my progress if I delete the game?
Progress is saved on your device, not in an online account. Deleting the game deletes it, unless you restore a device backup that includes it. Purchases that last, like No Ads, can be restored with the same store account.
The game runs slowly on my device.
Set Graphics quality to Low in Settings. It turns off bloom, lowers the render scale and shows fewer particles and shadows on screen.
