PRISMIX

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about playing Prismix: the ring, mixed colours, shields, stars, modes, ads and progress.

How do I play?
Move your finger in a circle anywhere around the ring and it turns like a dial. Lights fly in from the edges and reach the ring on the beat of the music. Turn the ring so each light lands on the arc of its own colour: red on red, green on green, blue on blue.
Where do yellow, cyan and magenta go?
Mixed colours are made of two colours, so they belong on the thin seam where those two meet: yellow between red and green, cyan between green and blue, magenta between blue and red. They appear from level 3.
What happens when I miss?
A light that lands on the wrong colour costs one of your three shields. Catch 25 lights in a row to get a lost shield back. When the last shield is gone, the light goes out and you can try again.
How do stars work?
Finish a level without losing a shield for 3 stars, losing at most two shields for 2 stars, and in any other way for 1 star. A level finished after a revive gives at most 1 star.
What is Prism Mode?
Each catch fills the thin arc inside the ring. When it is full, a rainbow corona wraps the ring, the sky jumps to hyperspace, a lead joins the music and every point counts double.
What is Endless mode?
A run with no level breaks that lasts until your shields run out. It starts easy, warms up over the first minute and then keeps getting faster, with a new music style, key and sky every few bars. It opens once you clear level 3. You can revive once per run by watching an ad.
What is the Daily Spectrum?
A new song every day, the same for every player. Clear it on consecutive days to build your streak.
Do my catches really make the music?
Yes. Every level is its own song, generated live. Each catch plays a note from the current chord, mixed colours play two notes at once, and the drums, bass and arpeggios open up as your combo grows. A miss muffles the music for a moment.
I am colour-blind. Can I play?
Yes. Turn on Colour assist in Settings to show a shape on every colour: ▲ for red, ■ for green and ● for blue. Mixed colours show both of their shapes.
The lights feel out of sync with the music.
Bluetooth headphones and speakers add a delay to the sound. Play with the device speaker or wired headphones for the tightest timing.
When do ads appear?
Never during a level, and there are no banners. Sometimes an ad appears when you leave a result card, but never in the first levels and never more often than every few runs. Rewarded ads are always your choice: watch one to revive when the light goes out, or to skip a level after failing it a few times.
How can I limit personalized ads?
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & ads. On iPhone, you can also deny tracking in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android, you can delete your advertising ID in Settings › Privacy › Ads. You will still see ads, but they will be less personalized. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Prismix plays fully offline. Ads only load when you are online.
Does my progress sync between devices?
Progress is saved on your device. It is not synced between devices, but it is kept in your device backup and comes back when you restore that backup on a new phone. Deleting the app deletes your progress.
Which languages does the game support?
The game is available in English and Turkish. It follows your device language, and you can change it in Settings › Language.
